This particular "Mountain Trails" sconce is 14 1/2" high by 8" wide, and has a custom back that allows it to be installed on a log wall. The back is made to project the fixture about 2" forward, and this allows for clearance on the log above and below the fixture, and also allows for a spray of light to illuminate the logs around and behind the fixture.
The shade is made of top quality sheepskin rawhide and has a half-cylinder shape. Light coming through the rawhide shade illuminates the room with a pleasing warm glow. The top and bottom are open to allow light to spill out onto the wall above and below the fixture. Trimming both ends are hand made metal arches with twisted iron "rope" to give a finishing touch with a Western flavor.
